Members of GSC meet with Szczecin’s President

The creators of the most innovative internet projects from around the world have gathered in Szczecin to participate in a comprehensive training program focusing on IT, e-marketing, and the capital markets.  On Thursday (7/8/2010) they met with Piotr Krzystkiem, Sczczecin's President.

The "Global Startup Challenge 2010" is the first initiative in Poland geared towards innovative internet ideas of the highest potential and promising global success.  The ultimate goal of the project is to identify and cultivate  the necessary market, technical and financial knowledge  for those few excellent ideas.  Those that have passed in the final group of entrepreneurs to compete come from both Poland as well as abroad.

Program organizers include: Red Sky, owners/creators of the largest Polish internet project FilesTube.com, as well as Polska Fundacja Przedsiembiorczosci, includes POMERANUS SEED fund and Business Angels AMBER.  Szczeciński Park Naukowo-Technologiczny, Xevin Lab, and NetCamp are also heavily involved.

Over one hundred idea's were submitted, which were reviewed by experts looking specifically at business promise, the team involved in developing each project into reality and each teams determination - informs Barbara Bartkowiak, Chairman for the Foundations Board - Midway through June the final eight teams were chosen, these teams represent the following cities and countries: Krakow, Wrocław, Poznań, Warszawa, Łódź, Stargard Szczeciński oraz and Lithuania.

The following are all competing for the grand prize: iTraff, UltraStar, ZenCen, Trainig Statistic, Pytania, Vorevo, Listen for free i eTaxi.
